What is integrative psychiatry?
Integrative psychiatry is the practice of combining conventional or traditional medical treatments with complementary or non-traditional approaches. It is considered as a holistic approach (connecting mind and body) in addressing mental health issues. Complementary approaches may include nutraceuticals or supplements, mind-body practices (like meditation, mindfulness, yoga or tai chi), acupuncture, acupressure, reflexology, aromatherapy, etc.
Do you accept insurance?
My practice is cash-base. I am however currently credentialed through Headway with the following health insurances: Aetna, BCBS, Carelon Behavior Health, Cigna, Horizon BCBS, Independence Blue Cross, Optum, Oscar Health, Oxford, Quest Behavioral Health, and UHC. Please contact your health insurance to verify coverage prior to making appointments.
Do you prescribe benzos?
I typically do not prescribe benzodiazepines (like Xanax, Ativan, etc.) in my practice.
